30-min/55-min – All Levels

Lay on our custom-made comfortable stretching beds in our beautiful private cabanas and work with your dedicated expert stretching coach to increase your flexibility and range of motion.

What is Assisted Stretching?

Assisted Stretching uses PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) techniques to promote flexibility and mobility of a muscle or group of muscles.

PNF includes both stretching and contracting of the muscle to achieve maximum static flexibility. It is amazing for targeting specific muscle groups and is the technique used by physiotherapists to restore functional range of motion and increase strength and flexibility – especially in those who have experiences any soft tissue damage. PNF improves muscle elasticity and has been shown to have a positive effect on active and passive range of motion.

Through this form of static stretching, our stretch coach will work with you to address targeted areas to ensure you are getting the proper stretch and range of motion that your body needs –
improving your joints health and flexibility.

All our coaches are professionally trained on the methods of Assisted Stretching and how the body moves. Before beginning your assisted stretching session, your dedicated coach will do an extensive assessment of your physical health – they will look at your range of motion, flexibility, limitations, alignment, pain and discomfort levels. They will also discuss any goals you may have and develop a stretching program that will help you reach those goals, all while working within your body’s limits.

Who is Assisted Stretching for?

Assisted stretching is a gentle technique and can be used on everyone – including children, adults, the elderly and those with any injuries or physical disabilities.

It is particularly great for athletes, any one recovering from an injury (of course with approval from their physician), and the elderly! Maintaining mobility as we age is quite challenging – Assisted Stretching helps strengthen our muscles and joints to help mitigate changes and keep our bodies strong and flexible.

Why Assisted Stretching?

With the support of a trained assisted stretching coach, you can go deeper into your stretches safely and effectively without injury. The sessions are fully customized to your body’s abilities and your personal stretching goals.
